We’ll be setting up the camp in Hamburg, Germany’s largest port-city and busiest hub for both road- and sea-traffic. It is also the largest coal-harbour, bringing in supplies for the countries’ power plants and factories. In Hamburg, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) runs a major agro-fuels factory in Europe. From here, the energy company Vattenfall directs its nuclear and coal-fired power plants. Parallel to our camp, but in the same location, there will also be an anti-racist camp, targeting, amongst others, Hamburg’s charter-deportation airport. Both camps’ preparatory processes are being coordinated so as to best bring out their respective and mutual potentials.
